How to Convert WebP to JPG Online (Instant, No Upload)

You saved an image from a website and it's .webp — but the app you want to use it in doesn't accept WebP. Here's the fastest fix.

The 3-second method

1. Open [WebP to JPG](/image-tools/webp-to-jpg)

2. Drop your .webp file

3. Download the JPG

Runs in your browser. No signup, no upload, no watermark.

Why WebP exists

Google's WebP compresses smaller than JPG/PNG at the same visible quality, so modern sites serve it by default. Downside: older tools (some CMSes, Word, older Photoshop, WhatsApp on old phones) don't accept it. JPG works everywhere.

When you should convert

  • Uploading to a system that rejects WebP
  • Pasting into Word or PowerPoint versions that don't recognize WebP
  • Editing in older Photoshop / paint apps
  • Sending via WhatsApp on devices that show WebP as unopenable

When you shouldn't

If uploading to a modern website or blog, keep WebP — it's smaller and loads faster.

Batch conversion

Drop multiple WebP files at once. Each converts locally and downloads instantly.
